EVOLVE at NextGCom 2026: Special Session on EV Charging Point Location Optimisation

28 September 2026, Argostoli, Kefalonia, Greece

General information

EVOLVE organised a special session at the Next Generation Communications Conference (NextGCom 2026), held from 28 to 30 September 2026 in Argostoli, on the Greek island of Kefalonia. The conference was organised by the Department of Digital Media & Communication of the Ionian University and Technology for Society, and technically co-sponsored by the IEEE Communications Society.

The session shared its name with the project: Electric Vehicles Point Location Optimisation via Vehicular Communications. It brought together researchers from several EVOLVE partners: the University of Malaga, the University of Huddersfield and Northumbria University. They presented recent results on intelligent management of EV charging infrastructure, covering edge computing, digital twins, multi-agent systems, federated learning, anomaly detection and cybersecurity for charging stations ⚡🚗
