EVOLVE Workshop in Ghent
26–27 June 2025 Ghent University, Ghent, Belgium
General information
The EVOLVE consortium met in Ghent for a two-day workshop hosted by Ghent University at its IDLab in the iGent building. Partners attended in person and online. The workshop opened with an update on the project’s status and a keynote by John Strassner (Futurewei) on 6G cognitive networks.
Over the two days, researchers from the University of Malaga, Ghent University, the University of Huddersfield, Northumbria University, the University of Leeds, the University of Oulu, Cemosa and Softcrits presented their latest work. Topics included wireless foundation models, LLMs for radio resource management, federated and incremental learning for EVs, BLE localisation, EV safety, grid simulation, charging scheduling and O-RAN resource allocation ⚡📡
The second day covered the secondments under way and future collaboration, both within the project and beyond it, including upcoming calls. The workshop ended with a visit to UGent’s research facilities.
